Kudanisar Shrine Walkthrough and Puzzle Solutions
The MASSIVE Kudanisar shrine chamber is a moving river of sand. You can run in the sand for short distances safely.
Your goal is to cross the fences and make your way through the huge chamber via floating boards.
In the first area, grab the board nearest you that is not moving and wait for the two floating boards to line up nearby. Place the board between you and the first floating board and run to it.
Now, hit L and switch to Recall. Hit the third board with Recall and it will move back the other direction allowing you to run to it and cross to the stone platform with the lamp.
From here, you’ll need to grab the board behind you and lean it up on the fence ahead of you. This will create a ramp over the fence that you can run up and over – but it’s moving, so be quick!
In the next area, a construct hides behind an upright board. Use Ultrahand to grab the board, lift it high over the Construct’s head, and drop the board to kill the Construct.
Use the boards to cross to the ladder. Hit the button to watch your orb – which you need to bring right back here to the depression by the exit door – fly into the distance.
Look below, there’s a couple of boards and a pair of fan sleds here.
Treasure Chest Location
This is a rare Shrine with TWO Treasure Chest Locations!
So don’t set off for the orb just yet! The first chest is on a platform way out to the right of where the orb was shot. A Construct guards it.
Grab one of the fan sleds below. You can freely control this like a vehicle.
As you approach the island, try to get around the back side where the flow will push your craft into the island. If you lose it, it’s fine. Shoot the construct.
Take the board sticking up here with Ultrahand. You WILL need that board though if you’ve lost your fan sled. Use Ultrahand to weld it firmly at a 45 degree angle on the other board so it acts as a ramp to the island’s top. In the chest here is a ‘’’Hasty Elixir’’’. Place the board in the sand river to ride it back to the entrance area and you’ll have to follow the first few steps again.
Once back at where you picked up the fan sled, take the other fan sled to the opposite corner where a chest hangs from a rope. Here you can ram it into the small island with a third fan sled for the taking.
From this island, use Ultrahand to start the chest swinging a bit so you can cut the rope with an arrow and send the chest flying back against the flow of the sand.
This will give you a bit more time to nab it with Ultrahand and pull it to shore. For all the trouble you’ll get a pretty anticlimactic ‘’’Arrows x 10’’’.
Time to use those arrows…
Use the fan sled to go to the small fortress where the orb was fired into. As you approach you can stop the sled and snipe the Constructs – or just approach the overhang on the side and Ascend to surprise them.
Either way, you’ll need to Ascend to the top. Simply stop your sled under the overhang and do so. Don’t worry, there are more sleds inside!
Down the ramp inside is a switch you can hit to let your orb flow safely back to the exit area.
You can also give it a ride if you wish by welding it to the front of your fan sled.
Now, head for where you got your initial fan sled. Here are three boards you can use to make a bridge up to the target, allowing you to carry your orb there and open the exit! What an epic Shrine!
