I started playing Genshin Impact when it came out. It was fun to play along with the new content as it came out. However, I found it daunting when I logged out for a while and returned. It felt as if I had missed too much to come back. Too many new mechanics (which are not always explained well), new areas, and events were taking place way past where I was in the story. I wanted to continue the story, but I didn't want to miss the events. This is the nature of a game that is forever evolving- so I can't be too upset about it. As for the gacha system, many people complain about this, but I have all the characters I could ever need just from grinding. I like grinding. If you don't then maybe this game is not for you. I don't have as much time to play as I used to, and playing for an hour or two every other day feels like it's just not enough. This game got me through a portion of the pandemic after I played animal crossing to death. I recommend this game if you have a lot of time to invest in it. Otherwise, it may be hard to get the full enjoyment out of it.
