Were it not for the rich, recognisable and beloved settings that fall over themselves to get to the player, this would be a desperately bland game. But the power of those settings simply cannot be brushed aside.
If there's one downside to Mario RPG it is the level of difficulty. Once you master all the timing tricks like giving extra damage, jumping on the enemies heads before battle, dodging and how to get extra coins the game becomes much easier than any other RPG.
This game had a solid Franchise, good superstar mode, deep stats and immersion, and MUT wasn't a cash grab. Also, probably the best cover ever.
I loved Just Cause 2. And 3, which had better mechanics and less content, but was satisfying to play. Just Cause 4 commits the absolute worst sin a Just Cause game can: It's boring. Just.... boring. No liberation mechanic, one repetitive mission in each territory and then advance your front lines if you have enough 'chaos' in your experience bar, which is hard to get because there is nothing to really blow up anymore.
The photo realism must be seen first hand to be believed, screen shots and movie clips found around the net cannot describe half the beauty that this game is. The graphics, consistent frame rate, and responsive controls successfully creates an immersive environment of flight. There are times where I would ignore the mission objectives and fly at incredible speeds, low to the ground, amongst snow-capped mountains. One word: Bliss.
There is no doubt about whether Microsoft Flight Simulator was able to continue the famous series with dignity: many of the technologies used in MSFS, we generally meet for the first time in games, and from a technological point of view, this is a clear breakthrough. The greatest strength of the new simulator is its huge potential for development and change. The local world will not remain the same as it was on the release, but will be constantly updated thanks to satellite maps and player modifications.
The soundtrack is exceptional, offering rock and techno play-lists, and a fully customizable jukebox feature letting you filter any tunes or even whole genres however you like.
Despite beating the game, I find myself returning to Astro’s Playroom for its pure joy.
The historical Italian settings deserved a more fun, more polished core game. This is one of the few games where I've sighed because of imprecise controls. I can't praise anything about the game's combat, since it forced me to mash a button or else run through the map with imprecise controls.
The slow pace and broad complexity make it a game for only those who like to swim on the deeper side of the strategy game pool, but if you aren’t afraid to dive in this game is not to be missed.
old Lombax too many new tricks. The core of the series still works and is a ton of fun to play. The PS5 provides just enough to make it feel fresh while new friends provide new possibilities. I’m glad to say that the team at Insomniac has this iconic duo back on track. There’s no better game to show off the power of the PS5.
Multiplayer as its best, but the campaign is a total disappointment.
Unparalleled in its representation of the Bat, Batman: Arkham City is a pedigree of gaming making and content adaption that no Batman fan should be without.
Its finest qualities are its simplicity, depth, superior graphics and outright compelling gameplay.
Seriously addictive - and seriously fun.
GT3 doesn't disappoint. The AI could be better, but everything else kicks too much *** to worry about it.
A great game for one of the greatest gaming franchises based on superheroes. Batman: AK will surprise you from its beginning to its end in an adventure full of content and unforgettable moments.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a great game, with astounding visuals, but it can be a little bit disappointing to the old Company fans. Linear and in some way over scripted, wide open spaces are now replaced by more tightened ones, but they can be completely flattened thanks to the Frostbite engine.
