This game changed superhero games forever. It was just so well designed when it released and still is a blast to play many years later.
The voice acting is just classic animated Batman and perfect in every way.
If you haven’t played this game, you need to. It’s a classic that so many other games iterated on. It’s pure superhero fun!
TIP: If you can, play the PC version with the Advanced Launcher mod. It will allow you to improve some graphics setting and increase the frame-rate. The smoother frames makes the combat way less clunky. The PC version also retains the original art design, the remasters new art was…not great in my opinion.
Everyone knows this game had a rocky launch on consoles...it was not great.
With the Phantom Liberty expansion and the numerous quality of life patches...this game is easily one of the best I've ever played. The characters and atmosphere are second to none. The stories told in this game will make you laugh, cry, and then break your heart. There are events that will make you uncomfortable to watch or be a part of...Night City is not a kind place, but it's disgustingly beautiful at the same time.
Do yourself a favor and erase the expectations you have of this game or things you heard in the past about it...just play it with an open mind and prepare to be blown away by one of the best narratives in a videogame.
TIP - Take the unexpected paths...a little trek into the unknown in this game can lead to very interesting unexpected events...
I've been playing this game for about 10 years now...what you will either like or dislike about ESO is that it is a crazy amount of lore dumped on you all the time and it's all wonderfully voice acted.
The game itself plays like an MMO action RPG. Not hard to figure out, but you can adjust a lot of stats for your character to have them play how you want. The game is designed to be played solo, so you can play most of the content alone or with friends if you prefer. It has much of the typical MMO stuffs, like crafting, questing, raiding, PVP, and the like. If you have played any MMO before, you should have no trouble getting your bearings.
If you are looking for a game that is story focused and insanely huge, this is it. It's a treat if you like Elder Scrolls lore and want to really dig into it. There is just so much content and you can easily put 300+ hours in and still not have seen everything the game has to offer.
TIP: Play the game how you want to play! If you don't like crafting, don't force yourself to do it! The game is designed to reward you for how YOU want to play it. It's super open!
After extensive updates and changes, this became a fairly decent Batman game...keep in mind the character you play can make a difference in how the game and story feels.
If you play the game as Batgirl, it's a pretty great Batgirl game! It really depends on the character and the traversal/combat styles, as Batgirl feels more like you are playing the traditional Arkham games.
The game also has a pretty good story involving some surprising characters! Worth a playthough for the story alone if you enjoy Batman stuffs!
TIP: If playing on PC, turn off the Raytracing options...they don't really do much of anything and the performance hit isn't worth it. Even Nvidia recommends turning these features off for this game.
