This game is like my on/off girlfriend that I'll never truly leave just because the memories I have with her are unforgettable and above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. This goes double for heavily modded DayZ... I must say, I love this game with all my heart, but maybe in the hands of a better developer it could have gone right instead of 10 years of wasted time. This game could have been great, but for now it will remain as it has always been: wasted potential.
But I love it.
So ****ing much.
Cool game with an awesome story! Was hooked from start to finish.. Despite a few extremely confusing sections which may or may not have made me Google what to do next.
Now that this game is well and truly dead I can speak from a nostalgic point-of-view instead of an angry gamer one. I began playing this game the moment it came out just as I had played its predecessor (CS:S), and since its release I only left it when VALORANT came out - yet even then I did not stop playing it. There's not much to say... except a final goodbye, a goodbye to a game I loved, a game I adored, and a game that will always be in my heart. Finally we can say it: Rest in peace, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. You will absolutely be missed.
God I ****ing hate this game but at the same I love it, I seem addicted to it the same way a cocaine addict knows how bad it is for his entire being but still just can not quit whatever he does. Even if I take a break it's mostly a short one with a quick return. 9/10 would burn money on Riot's worthless skin system again.
The game really doesn't add anything new, it's boring and I was dying going through it. I didn't even manage to finish it. BO1 was amazing, but this one just sucks.
Other games of the genre, take note. It may be a couple decades old, but this game showcases how to really make a sequel: keep the game's spirit, upgrade everything else. I knew I was playing Virtua Cop, but all the upgrades to graphics/mechanics/gameplay and the addition of multiple paths is really cool. Another 40-50 minutes of great fun!
Wow, this was a quickie! Awesome blast to the past. Graphics are about what I'd expect for this game's release year so I did not really take that into consideration in the rating. But the mechanics/gameplay and the progression is awesome. I still feel excited about getting gun drops as much as I used to back in the day when I played this on Windows XP. 7/10 would become a Virtua Cop again.
Yet another CDPR classic, The Witcher 2 emphasizes on the success of a fantastic first game in a beautiful second game. I love this game, its mechanics, its graphics, and certainly its *** scenes (it had its moments). If it weren't overshadowed by an exceptional sequel this game would probably have been remembered and looked upon fondly for years to come.
**** me if this game didn't age terribly... But it is a 2007 game after all. But let me tell you something: this game was PHENOMENAL. The story felt like a legitimate continuation to the books - not a fanfic as most would think. Yes the gameplay is extremely difficult to get into after years of being spoiled by advancements in the control scheme accessibility updates but when you get the hang of this game you are in for an unforgettable adventure.
A game that makes me cry is a 5-star game. Truly an amazing tale. As for 400 Days, I loved it. It was a fun, small adventure in an established world whose comics and TV shows I had read and watched. No regrets.
What a great season, yet again. I would say Telltale outdid themselves but.. They didn't. Sure game mechanics were great and the story was compelling.. But my biggest issue with this game was how wrong choice presentation was. I was extremely confused by how dialogue works and often choices felt to be the opposite of what my point was. Then again.. This is Clementine's story. I get that they had to fill in the blanks with the Garcia story. But now we can get back to the thick of it in Season 4.
It's really a 2D side-scroller Minecraft. Before I forget, I should mention the soundtrack which really kept that music volume bar at 80%. The crafting, build & destroy mechanics, and other gameplay elements are awesome. BUT.. I need to mention the bosses and the story. Holy hell, this game's progression is awesome, the bosses are awesome. Everything is awesome. I also mained a yo-yo.. Great times.
Beat the game. So far the best Star Wars game I've played. It is amazingly done with a beautiful story and great mechanics, loved every moment of it... Except a few.
What can I say other than it's GTA 4 but in Hong Kong? Great story (despite a few times where it really felt rushed), great mechanics. I love the combat systems, I used melee mano-y-mano combat more than guns. I also might have gotten into a few car accidents after mixing up the lanes a few times. Beaten the story and DLC.
What can I say? Games like those are supposed to come out every decade. But no game will ever - past, present, or future - reach the level of the bar that RDR 2 set. Truly the best game I have ever played in my life.
