MySpeed for Mac 10.14 thru 12.x (Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey)

The current release of MySpeed will now install on Monterey, Big Sur, Mojave and Catalina with SIP disabled; however the same issues and limitations that existed on previous versions of macOS still exist. Additionally, after installing, you may need to restart your computer for MySpeed to start. Please read this for more information about MySpeed on macOS Mojave and Catalina.

You will need to disable Apple's System Integrity Protection (SIP) for MySpeed to work. If you do not disable SIP, MySpeed will NOT install or work. See the following page for more information on disabling SIP on your Mac.

http://www.enounce.com/disable-system-integrity-protection

We personally recommend option 2 listed on this page with respect to Mojave/Catalina, which only disables one SIP feature while leaving all other SIP features intact.

Safari, Chrome (version 76+), Opera (version 66+), Vivaldi (2.11.1811.38+) Firefox (version 68+): MySpeed will no longer work with these browsers.

Current Mac Browser support.

Before downloading, clear any previous EnounceMySpeed.dmg files from your downloads folder.

When you first run a browser with SIP Disabled, and MySpeed attempts to work with it, you will see this dialog:

mojave1

MAKE CERTAIN you click “OK”. If you click Don’t Allow you will not be asked again and MySpeed will not work with that browser again. This can be reset, but the reset does so for all applications.

A few users have reported that it won’t let them install, showing this dialog.

mojave2

However, the issue in their case was that one of the older EnounceMySpeed.dmg install image was still mounted. Typically mounted image files (dmg) show on your desktop and you can drag these images to your Trash to eject that image. To search for an older image, open Finder:

  1. If you do not see the Sidebar, click the View Menu on the top of the Mac, and select 'Show Sidebar'
  2. Look for any Enounce Install images mounted on the sidebar under Devices
  3. Click the up arrow next to image file to unmount them.
  4. After that - find all of the EnounceMySpeed.dmg files on your Mac, delete them and empty the trash.
