Camryn Johnson

Anchor/Reporter

Camryn Johnson joined 40/29 News as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter in June 2023.

Camryn graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Marketing. Camryn got her start in broadcast covering all-things Razorback Athletics as the sports director at UATV News, the university’s student-run news station. There, Camryn was able to cover the Razorbacks through back-to-back Elite Eight appearances as well as two bowl-winning seasons.

Camryn also worked as an anchor, reporter and producer in news at UATV, covering stories ranging from feature pieces to severe weather and election coverage. She also anchored a NATAS Mid-America Emmy Award-winning newscast.

Camryn is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and spends much of her free time visiting family and friends. From playing soccer growing up to watching the Dallas Cowboys every Sunday, she developed a love of sports from a young age. When she is not cheering on her favorite teams, she enjoys playing guitar, piano and singing.
