TEAM USA TRIALS RESUME ON THURSDAY AND WRAP UP ON SUNDAY IT'S TIME NOW TO ANNOUNCE OUR 40/29 WINNER OF THE WEEK... A RECENT ROGERS HIGH GRADUATE WHO'S BEEN DOMINATING THE LANES. KALE BRANTLEY BEGAN COMPETITIVELY BOWLING WITH THE MOUNTIES THREE YEARS AGO. IN THAT TIME HE BECAME A PART OF SCHOOL HISTORY HELPING ROGERS MAKE THREE STRAIGHT STATE TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES AND MOST RECENTLY BECAME THE FIRST MALE BOWLER TO EARN A COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE SPORT. WHILE HE MAY NOT HAVE PERFECTED HIS GAME JUST YET... HE'S COME PRETTY CLOSE... BEING ONE PIN SHY OF A PERFECT GAME FIVE TIMES THIS YEAR TWICE IN A MATCH...AND THREE OTHER TIMES IN PRACTICE AN INCREDIBLE FEAT FOR THE YOUNG BOWLER... WHO SAYS THOSE PERFORMANCES HAVE BEEN A HUGE MOTIVATOR. <> (It's just it's kind of exhausting sometimes. Like, I'll come bowl and I'm like, Is it today and is not today? And I'm like, Oh, well, whatever. I'll just come back the next day and do it again. And I'm just like, waiting for it to happen, waiting for it to happen. But each time I get so close, it's like a thrill in my heart. Like, okay, you're getting there, you're getting there. So it's like a balance of like being tired of not getting a perfect game and like, Oh my goodness, I'm so close to getting a perfect game. I got to keep going. ) <> (He's taken it upon himself to become better. But, you know, just seeing him being able to take that and parlay it into being able to go bowl in college is really awesome and I'm so happy for him.)
