About this ebook

The sexy, action-packed first book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

Title: A Captivating Read that Will Leave You Breathless Rating: 4/5 Stars I just finished reading "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This book is a masterclass in storytelling, with a richly imagined world, complex characters, and a romance that will leave you weak in the knees. From the moment I met Feyre, the strong-willed and determined huntress, I was hooked. Her journey from the mortal world to the faerie lands is a thrilling adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The world-building is exquisite, with a detailed and immersive portrayal of the faerie realm that will transport you to a world of beauty and magic. But what truly sets this book apart is the romance. The slow-burn tension between Feyre and Tamlin is expertly crafted, and their chemistry is palpable. The way their relationship evolves from hatred to passion is a true delight, and their love story is one that will stay with you long after you finish.

so my wife said if there was one book she'd love me to read it was this one. after emptying my reading list I finally agreed to try it. So first off Lucion saved this book from having nothing, but boring bland male characters. as for Feyre I didn't know it was possible for someone to win a stupid contest with Eragon from the inheritance cycle. ok a few positives the writing was actually incredibly good, and was worth reading. The author definitely has a great writers voice, and as painful as most of the book was the end made it worth putting up with the slow rather bland romance plot. now then the biggest downfall for me is I spent the entire book trying to understand this world's fey which as a fantasy fan it leaves a lot to be desired especially since they are all powerful leaving humans as nothing more than cattle. My final critique is on amarantha which to be honest as far as villains go kinda has nothing going for her.

This book and series is so hyped up I bought the whole of it. So I'm going to be brutally honest. This first book (and that's all I've gotten through so far,) is a bad retelling of beauty and the beast. An impoverished town on the outskirts of an enchanted land where everyone is cursed. A girl is kidnapped by a beast with a surly and standoffish attitude.... not to mention the heroine of the story... I wouldn't even consider her a heroin. She is a teenager, and due to being impoverished, is forced into her masculine, so she hunts and fights amongst other things and knows nothing of how to be an actual woman. This book is giving pick me girl vibes to the max. I'm flabbergasted to be honest. I'll probably come back with more as I continue the other half of the book, if I can.
