Bali Pulendran, PhD, is new ITI director

The professor of pathology and of microbiology and immunology has been named director of the Stanford Institute for Immunity, Transplantation, and Infection (ITI). ITI’s goal is to understand the human immune system at multiple levels — molecular, genetic and cellular — and to harness this in-depth understanding to prevent and treat disease.
