I’m a writer and communications leader based in Atlanta. Most recently, I was the Chief Communications Officer at Intuit Mailchimp, where I led the company’s PR, business and brand communications, executive communications, employee communications, and crisis response teams. In my time at Mailchimp, I was a member of the executive leadership team as we grew the company from an email newsletter startup to a global, multi-billion dollar marketing platform. I created Mailchimp’s style guide, which became an industry standard for brand voice and tone guides, launched the company’s content strategy function, built the award-winning communications team from the ground up, and helped lead the organization through a major business and culture transformation following the acquisition by Intuit. I also coauthored the book Nicely Said: Writing for the Web with Style and Purpose, wrote a weekly column for Forbes, and spoke about writing and corporate communications at conferences around the world. Before that, I was a senior editor at Paste Magazine, where I wrote and edited hundreds of articles, managed a staff of freelance writers, launched the magazine’s Lifestyle section, and helped grow the Paste Media Group brand during the shift from print to digital. I have a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University’s Murrow College of Communication.

I’m a mom of three girls, passionate about supporting parents in the workplace. I’m proud to serve on the boards at the Woodruff Arts Center and Community Farmers Markets in Atlanta. Over the last year, I’ve spent my nights and weekends writing, and I’m currently querying my first novel.
