So we started thinking about putting on BCBOMO8 for later this year (with the demise of a few local events)… it was early days (finding a venue) and then Covid-19 turned the world upside down, so we thought we’d go virtual!

Full details to follow, but essentially the same format: there’ll be an intro/welcome talk at 1pm and a Google Doc to act as the room/time planner… for each session you just add a link to the hangout for people to join.

We’ll start on zoom and leave that open all afternoon – to prevent zoom bombing the password is in welcome email!

The team have decided that we’re taking a break for 2016, bar camp bournemouth 8 will be back in 2017.

Amongst the core organisers*:

1 is moving house
1 is swanning around the world, in a sort of dev “catch me if you can” kinda way
2 of them are involved with organising other large events this year
1 claims to have won £33 million on the lottery

(*one of these might not be true)

We will be back in 2017, in the mean time we highly recommend you check out all of our friends that run events locally…
