Yes, this is the album with Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah (a Letter from Camp) on it, but that s not the only reason this stayed #1 on the charts for eight weeks in 1963! Check out You Went the Wrong Way , Old King Louie ; Automation ; I See Bones ; Hungarian Goulash No. 5 ; Headaches ; Here s to the Crabgrass ; One Hippopotami ; Rat Fink ; You re Getting to Be a Rabbit with Me ; Eight Foot Two, Solid Blue , and Hail to Thee, Fat Person . All recorded on the night of June 3, 1963!

I bought this on product reviewer Timothy Shubert's good advice (see above review) and he is spot on. The sound quality is very good (with auto rip mp3's added to my account) but the packaging is indeed bare bones as he said: There is no track list on the back tray card and it's only inside the two page insert and that's it - they aren't even listed on the disc. Yes, this does have ALL 12 of the songs from the album not just the 8 shown on the erroneous product listing! (I added a jpeg of the back side of the LP album cover for those of you who want to see the info for what's on this disc)Track list:1. You Went the Wrong Way Old King Louie2. Automation3. I See Bones4. Hungarian Goulash No. 55. Headaches6. Here's to the Crabgrass7. Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter From Camp)8. One Hippopotami9. Rat Fink10. You're Getting to be a Rabbit with Me11. Eight Foot Two, Solid Blue12. Hail to Thee, Fat PersonIn any event, it's good to finally have this on CD!

I was looking for a classic humor record from the 1960's "My son the nut" By Allen Sherman.
He was the "Weird Al" of his day. I remember my Dad playing it on the family hi-fi.
A 1960's Fisher tube stereo. Our family was one of the first in our area to have a FM receiver.
so the radio station would call my dad to ask him how his reseption sounded.I remember dad
would let them know if it sounded a bit timmy ect.My dad was an old Radioman in WWII so needless to say he liked his radio and his music. After our father died a few years ago I found the emply sleave of "my son the nut" but no record. So I found myself on the Amazon website and there it was for sale!It came in the mail a few days later. It looked brand new and sounded great as well!
Thank you Amazon for brining a cherished memory of my youth back to life again!

"Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh” is priceless entertainment. Sherman tied his clever lyrics to a familiar tune in Italian composer Amilcare Ponchielli's Dance of the Hours, a ballet composed in 1876 as an interlude in Act 3 of his opera, La Gioconda, based on an 1835 play by Victor Hugo. Did you know that?

Alan Sherman's wit and humor is outstanding. Listened to this album in the early 60's which parodies commercials and other popular songs of the time. The big hit, "Hello Mudder, Hello Father" is good, but the others are even better, "I see bones" and "Headaches" are just outstanding. A must listen to recording to appreciate Alan Sherman's immortal talent.

I love this cd so much, from the 1960s I listened to it as a child and laughed then and just as hilarious now. Brings back all the nostalgia, I’m so glad I bought this!

Allan Sherman was a comedy genius of the 1960s.. This is a collection of some of his best songs (many were parodies of popular songs at the time). His most famous song, "Hello Muddah! Hello Faddah! Here I am at Camp Granada." is included. Enjoy!

...and still as funny as ever. Photo is correct, from the vinyl, but liner notes really should be included, no matter what copyright laws must be heeded to do so!
